Community Champions Events

  • Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 21st February training for new digital volunteers 2-4pm at the Methodist Church, Northampton Road, MH LE16 9HE.
  • Trading Standards advice on doorstep crime and scams – how these crimes occur, how to recognise someone is a victim and ways to prevent being a victim The same session will run on two occasions, 10 – 12 on the 1st March or 2-4pm on Wednesday 25th April both open to clients and volunteers, please let us know if you would like to join us.
  • Tuesday 6th March 2-3.15pm Community Gathering at Lutterworth Sports Hall, including armchair exercises.
  • Thursday 22nd March New Volunteer Training at Torch House 10-3pm.

We normally offer transport for events which include our clients, but we do need to know one week in advance that you are joining us.

Please let us know that you are attending events even if you don’t need transport so that we can make sure that we reserve enough space for us all.

It is run entirely by village volunteers and there is lovely cake, tea/coffee and local produce available. Jenny and I can recommend the blueberry cake !

Each month they raise money for a different charity so if you need to chat someone, and want to help a community cause it’s a good place to consider. Everyone was really friendly.
