The National Council for Voluntary Organisations

This national organisation ‘gives voice and support to civil society’. Their Advice and Support Section is full of relevant and useful items for voluntary groups.

Voluntary Action Leicestershire

This organisation is the place to go for information to support your group and also where to seek volunteers to work in your group. Voluntary Action Leicestershire arranges training in Leicestershire on many different topics which may be useful to your group. The Big Lottery

This is the website of one of the largest funder of the voluntary sector with funds from the national lottery scheme. On the funding page you can search for Big Lottery Funds in your area of work in your location.

The Big Lottery are a major funder of many small and medium sized voluntary organsiations and charities and it is what is known as an outcomes funder. It is driven by the difference it’s funding makes for individuals and communities.
