There are more changes this month as we move towards a sustainable way of working which includes face to face meetings and the use of technology.

VASL Car Scheme is continuing to take people to medical appointments and support the Jubilee Foodbank but is not able to offer the full range of transport as we need to recruit more volunteers

Support for Carers The phone line is available 9am-5pm Monday to Friday if you need advice or to complete a carer’s assessment. Support groups are meeting face to face during the day from the beginning of March. The evening groups are continuing on Zoom to allow people to join who can’t leave the person they care for and those who work during office hours.

Community Champions volunteers are visiting at home where both people are happy with this and some volunteers are still phoning or writing rather than visiting.
There is a face to face gathering on 9th March and Digital Support Sessions at MH Library on 2nd March and Lutterworth Library on 14th March – you need to book a space. Some events will still be online eg book club and mini zooms so that as many people as possible can join in.

Wellbeing Befriending Service is telephone based and is continuing to support people who want to make changes to improve their lives. This is helpful for people who find their lives are still restricted by the impact of isolation over the last two years.

My Mind Matters is continuing to support people over the phone. The new Walk and Talk group is beginning on 17th March please get in touch to book a space.

Young Carers
Project is currently recruiting a new Project Manager

Staff are splitting their time between working in the office, in the community and at home.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.
