VASL My Mind Matters Project – Important Update

VASL has been running My Mind Matters for nearly 5 years.  We have provided the service/project with funding from Leicester/Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Groups and Leicestershire County Council.

Earlier this year the funding and contract was put out for tender.  The service in Harborough District was combined with Oadby Wigston and Blaby.

Although VASL tendered to continue to run the service again, we unfortunately were unsuccessful.  From the 1st October 2022 the service will be provided by Richmond Fellowship-Life Links Service, a specialist Mental Health Charity.

Richmond Fellowship are well known in Leicestershire and already run services/projects in Oadby and Wigston and Blaby Districts.

All those currently being supported by My Mind Matters have been contacted individually to explain the process. VASL will continue to offer Mental Health Support through our Wellbeing Befriending Service which will continue with VASL after the 1st October 2022.

Our thanks to Samantha Burgess who has been managing My Mind Matter for the last year.  Samantha has worked very hard and improved the life and wellbeing of many MMM clients.

Thanks also go to Emma Brown who has supported Samantha.
