VASL is a local charity based in Market Harborough, providing services and projects to improve the lives of people in our community. These include support for family carers, young carers, older people who are lonely and isolated, providing volunteer transport to get people out and about, and activities and information to increase mental well-being. We are a volunteer-involving organisation and most of our work is delivered by trained volunteers.

A few of the things we do
VASL Car SchemeOur VASL car scheme normally provides transport for elderly, disabled or rurally isolated people who can’t use, or have no access to, public transport. Our drivers are all volunteers who kindly donate their time. From 12th April 21 we are offering a limited service see page for details.
VASL deliver high quality services funded by Children in Need, The National Lottery Community Fund, Harborough District Council and Leicestershire County Council, with additional support from local organisations, donations and grants. Our main source of strength is our amazing volunteers, who make such a difference to people in our community.
For an overview of the work we do, please see our individual services or read one of our newsletters.
