Based in Market Harborough, VASL is a proud local charity dedicated to improving and enriching the lives of people in our community. While our central hub is in the heart of Harborough, we actively deliver our vital services across Broughton Astley, Lutterworth, Kibworth, and Fleckney. Furthermore, our Support for Carers Leicestershire service extends across the wider county, running dedicated support groups in Blaby, Charnwood, Hinckley and Bosworth, Oadby and Wigston, and North West Leicestershire.
We deliver high-quality, fully accessible services funded by trusted partners including Children in Need, The National Lottery Community Fund, Harborough District Council, and Leicestershire County Council. With additional support from local organisations, donations, and grants, our main source of strength will always be our wonderful volunteers, who make an immeasurable difference to neighbours in our community every single day.
We currently operate five main service areas designed to support family carers, combat social isolation, reduce loneliness, and improve mental health—including our Community Champions initiative for older residents. We are committed to expanding our reach wherever possible to meet the changing needs of our community in fresh, innovative ways.
