Carers’ Passport Offers

We are delighted that so many cafes and sports centres have agreed to support unpaid Carers who have registered for a Carers’ Passport.

April is Getting Carers Active Month so it is good news that Waterfield Leisure Centre in Melton Mowbray, they will be offering carers free swimming in public sessions for carers during April, on production of their Carers Passport.

They are joining Huncote, Enderby, Parklands, Harborough and Lutterworth Leisure Centres which also offer free sessions (local conditions apply).

There are cafes offering a free hot drink across the county, the link to the map at the bottom of the page shows all the locations.

The passport was intended to allow carers to access help. It was useful during lockdowns as it was recognised by supermarkets, and continues to be useful in medical settings, but the offers from cafes and leisure centres are a bonus and show how many people appreciate the support that unpaid carers provide.

Unpaid carers who support someone aged 18+ can apply for a passport by emailing maureen@supportforcarers.org or ringing 01858 468543.

There is no charge.
