Volunteer Role: Transport Data Entry Volunteer
Voluntary Action South Leicestershire (VASL) is a local based charity supporting local people. VASL Car Scheme is a transport service provided by volunteer drivers using their own cars. It serves Harborough district residents who live east of Husbands Bosworth (A5199). Clients who use us are elderly/disabled/rurally isolated or have no transport of their own or have difficulty using or have no access to public transport.
Hours:
1 – 2 hours per week between 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm on a Tuesday or Thursday
Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Adding new client information to the Car Scheme’s computerised database, may involve telephoning the client.
Skills required:
- IT skills
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- The ability to listen as well as talk
- Reliable
- Enjoys learning and applies learning to volunteer role

The project team is based at: VASL, Torch House, Torch Way, Northampton Road, LE16 9HL

Expenses:
50p per mile from the volunteer’s home to office and back
