Hosted in the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere of the Mercado Lounge, this session is all about combatting social isolation by bringing people together for a simple natter. Sharing a cup of tea or coffee is a wonderful, low-pressure way to connect, discover shared interests, and build meaningful new friendships in the local area. There is absolutely no pressure to be the life of the party—if you are not feeling particularly talkative, you are warmly invited to just come along, sit back, and enjoy the comfort of good company.
This inclusive social table is warmly open to everyone in the Market Harborough community. Availability: Meets weekly every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 (10 am – 12 Noon).
Accessibility: Mercado Lounge offers excellent ground-floor accessibility, with flat, step-free access throughout the main entrance and primary dining areas, along with spacious internal layouts and fully compliant accessible toilet facilities.
A Warm Welcome: A friendly, trained volunteer will always be stationed at the table each week to welcome you, introduce you to the group, and make sure you feel instantly comfortable.
Drop-In Format: This is a completely free, open-access community table. There is no need to book a spot, sign up in advance, or register—just look for the Chatty Table signs and take a seat whenever you arrive.
