Organised by the Canal & River Trust, this hands-on, three-session programme focuses on crafting practical items to support our regional ecosystems. Over the course of the sessions, the plan is to build custom bat boxes, a sturdy wooden stool, and a sprawling bug hotel. Whether you are completely new to handling tools or are an experienced woodworker looking to dust off your skills, this workshop provides a rewarding, relaxed space to create something meaningful while enjoying a casual natter.
This welcoming group is specifically designed for men in the local community who want to learn a practical new craft or practice their existing woodworking skills in a highly social, supportive environment. It is an excellent fit for individuals seeking a regular routine, those looking to meet new people with shared practical interests, or anyone keen to support local wildlife conservation through hands-on community projects.

No Equipment Needed: All timber, tools, safety equipment, and building materials are provided completely free on-site—there is absolutely no need to bring your own tools.
