Take a well-deserved break from your caring role and join our informal peer-support Coffee Club! Meeting consistently on the first Thursday of each month, this group offers a warm, relaxed space for carers to catch up, share experiences, and support one another over a hot drink. Because this is a true peer-support group, it is run by carers, for carers, meaning a formal member of the Support for Carers staff may not always be present. It’s simply a friendly, open space to chat with people who truly understand the rewards and challenges of looking after a loved one.
This group is specifically for unpaid family carers who would value light-hearted conversation, peer support, and a chance to connect with others in similar situations. Whether you have been caring for years or are completely new to the journey, you are incredibly welcome to drop in. To help everyone identify the group easily in a busy café, please remember to wear your Carers lanyard so you can spot each other right away!
When We Meet: The 1st Thursday of every month from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Free Hot Drink Perk: Make sure to download the Gates loyalty app on your smartphone before you arrive! By using the app, you can claim a free hot drink each month during your visit.
Booking: This is a relaxed, drop-in social group, so no formal booking is required. Just look out for fellow carers wearing their lanyards in the café area near the soft play!
