Get out into the fresh air, meet friendly new faces, and enjoy a gentle stroll in the company of some wonderful canine companions at our monthly Walk and Talk + Dogs group! Held in the beautiful surroundings of Welland Park, this session is all about informal social connection and steady movement. There is no pressure to walk fast or cover long distances; the focus is purely on having a friendly chat, sharing a love of dogs, and soaking up the natural scenery. Whether you bring your own well-behaved four-legged friend or simply want to walk alongside the group and enjoy the dogs' company, you are guaranteed a warm welcome.
This inclusive walking group is warmly designed for people of all ages and physical abilities. Because the route relies entirely on wide, smooth pathways, it is fully accessible for individuals who use mobility scooters, electric wheelchairs, or rollator walkers. Whether you are an older adult looking to stay active, someone wanting to build up their confidence after an illness, a dog owner looking to socialise your pet, or anyone who simply fancies some good company on a Thursday afternoon, this group is for you.
Drop-In Format: This is a completely free, open community walk. There is no need to sign up in advance or book a spot—simply head down to the café entrance a few minutes before 1:00 pm to meet the group.
Dog Policy: You are highly welcome to bring your own dog, provided they are well-behaved, friendly around other dogs and people, and kept on a standard lead throughout the walk. Bringing a dog is not a requirement to join in!
Weather Conditions: The walk goes ahead in most weather conditions, so please check the forecast before leaving and dress in comfortable layers with appropriate outdoor footwear.
