Members of Community Champions worked with Leicestershire Culture and Leicestershire Adult Learning Service to record their memories of the Coronation, Jubilees and meetings with members of the Royal Family.
We held two workshops and members brought along souvenirs and momentoes. Both sessions were enjoyed by the participants who had the opportunity to be filmed, to make an audio recording or to write about their experiences.
There was also a lot of conversation as people shared their memories and looked at the memorabilia provided by Leicestershire Culture. ‘Her Majesty’ was also available for photographs

The Community Champions project aims to reduce loneliness for people over 60, who live alone in Harborough District, through befriending, community gatherings and learning sessions.
