Community Transport News

For many years clients of our Community Transport scheme have paid the driver for their journeys, but that is about to change. We have decided to phase out “cash in an envelope” for a number of reasons:

  • The closure of the branch in Market Harborough has meant that any cash deposits we make have to be taken to Leicester or Northampton.
  • To remove the responsibility of handling and storing these cash payments away from our volunteer drivers
  • To enable VASL to have an accurate audit trail

We have teamed up with Worldpay and are now able to take debit and credit card payments over the telephone.  You can call the transport office on 01858 468499 between 9.30am and 2.30pm to make a payment.  If you provide us with an email address, a receipt will automatically be sent you.
From 1st January 2024, all VASL Transport clients will be invoiced monthly, and any journeys undertaken will be invoiced at the end of each month.  We can either post out or email your invoice, the choice is yours.
There are various ways to pay your invoice.

  • By bank transfer to CAF Bank Ltd Account Name: Voluntary Action South Leicestershire

Sort Code: 40-52-40 Account No: 00015262 Reference: Your Invoice No & name

(This is our preferred method as it does not incur any bank charges)

  • By debit or credit card over the telephone by calling 01858 468499 between 9.30am and 2.30pm weekdays
  • By cheque payable to VASL and posted or taken to: Transport Office, VASL, Torch House, Torch Way, Market Harborough LE16 9HL. Quote your Invoice No on the back of the cheque.
  • By cash taken in person to the Transport Office, address above. Office open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2.30pm
  • By cash, cheque, debit or credit card at the monthly drop in at St Dionysius’ Church, Market Harborough LE16 7NBon the 2nd Tuesday of each month between 9.30am and 11am

If you have any queries about making payments, please contact us on 01858 468599
