Christmas 2023

The VASL trustees and staff wish you are a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We were delighted to host the Volunteers at our annual Christmas Party and are grateful to the Henrietta Chubb, High Sherriff of Leicestershire who joined us. It was good to hear about her role and we appreciated the time that Henrietta and her husband David spent finding out about us, from what we can work out they spoke to everyone who was there. (You can read their report here)
We were delighted to be a recipient of a grant from Harborough Building Society which covered the cost of the buffet. HBS has a Thrive! agenda and believes that no one should go hungry or lonely at Christmas, their donation acknowledged the work that our volunteers do to reduce loneliness.

2023 has seen changes at VASL with the retirement of Maureen O’Malley, Charity Manager and Sandy Handley, VASL Transport Manager but we are looking forward to 2024 when we will continue to serve the local community across Leicestershire.
