VASL is pleased to share that it has achieved the Trusted Standard Level 2 accreditation, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to operating effectively and efficiently in the third sector.
Julia Synnott the Charity Manager of VASL, said: “We were delighted to achieve level 2 of the Trusted Standard. The fantastic feedback we received is a direct reflection of the work the Board of Trustees, staff and volunteers do to ensure that VASL meets the highest standards of practice. With no areas of improvement required, it was a joy to read the assessment report that included quotes from staff, and volunteers who were so positive about the support they receive. VASL is an experienced well-resourced charity that continues to grow and develop, and I am so proud of this accreditation..”
The Trusted Standard, delivered by The Growth Company on behalf of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), is the only UK quality standard designed specifically for third sector organisations. The Level 2 accreditation demonstrates that VASL has a long-term strategic approach, plans for the future, and regularly reviews its practices to ensure continuous improvement.
VASL was assessed against 11 quality areas across Levels 1 and 2, including:
GovernancePlanning
Leadership and management
User-centred service
Managing people
Learning & development
Managing money
Managing resources
External communications
Working with others
Assessing outcomes and impact
This achievement reflects VASL’s ongoing focus on accountability, collaboration, and delivering value to the communities it serves.
