Community Champions 2
Our Community Champions project is nearing the end of its initial five years of funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and we are delighted to have received further funding for three years. There is information about our achievements here.
The second phase of the project will build on the foundations of the first project and carry on offering befriending in various forms (home visits, telephone, email/letters), as well as digital support and social/learning events.
Some events will be online eg the monthly mini-gatherings and Zoom Book Club and others will be face to face eg Community Gatherings in local cafes with accessible transport provided.
This hybrid approach is to respect the connection preferences of different people. CC2 will help clients to make social connections, both in their local community and online.
