We are a local charity based in Market Harborough, providing services and projects to improve the lives of people in our community. These include support for unpaid carers, older people who are lonely and isolated, providing volunteer transport to get people out and about, and activities and information to increase mental well-being. We are a volunteer-involving organisation and most of our work is delivered by trained volunteers.
VASL deliver high quality services funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, Harborough District Council and Leicestershire County Council, with additional support from local organisations, donations and grants
Like all charities we are feeling the strain of rising operational costs coupled with a lack of funding opportunities. Therefore, Wendy is embarking on a walk across red hot coals, in the name of VASL. We aim to raise £500, which will help towards our running costs so we can continue our mission to improve the lives of lonely and isolated people in our community.
